Founded in 2017, Samantha Mayfair is a custom cake business located in the San Francisco Bay Area. We offer bespoke cakes and desserts for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, and special events.
I'm the proud owner of Samantha Mayfair Cakes. I have always loved baking, pastry, and cake decorating. In 2009, I went to culinary school for pastry at the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Afterwards I worked as an assistant pastry chef for a popular bakery in Brookline and later as a digital editor at Martha Stewart. In 2017, I was able to fulfill my lifelong dream of running my own business and being a full-time pastry chef focused on creating delicious and beautiful edible art.
I love sweets. A lot. And I love to try new things and out-of-the box flavors. I specialize in creating handcrafted sugar flowers; they take a long time but they are worth it! I think they truly take a cake from dessert to art, and are a beautiful keepsake from your event, too.
I feel that dessert always adds a little bit of magic to every party, no matter how big or small. I would love to be a part of your next special event!
